Orvieto and its territory
Orvieto, land of tuff and great wines, is also famous for
its precious laces. These are coming from the techniques
of the ‘laces of Ireland’ but they acquired,
thanks to the taste and the technique of the women of Orvieto,
their own personality. Characteristic are the motives of
traditional and Renaissance tastes, inspired form the bas-reliefs
of the façade of the cathedral. 
Of
millenary tradition, the ceramics of Orvieto is typical
for its vegetable and animal motives with an original mix
of Etruscan and local roman elements. Also here is very
strong and particular the tradition of the work of the wood
to reproduce trees, animals and fantasy figures. A place
that definitely deserves a stay is the
AGRITURISMO BARBERANI, located in the heart of the wine
firm, with a splendid panorama looking over the Lake of
Corsara next to which it is possible to visit the cellars
and to taste excellent Doc and Igt wines.
